Ketoconazole 2% w/v in a lotion base
Sham Ketsal is an anti-fungal lotion formulated to treat various fungal skin infections. It contains ketoconazole as the active antifungal agent and is suitable for topical application on affected areas.
No significant systemic interactions expected with topical use; however, avoid concurrent use of other topical antifungals without medical advice
Ketoconazole works by disrupting the growth of fungi that cause various skin infections like dandruff, ringworm, and other fungal conditions. It penetrates the skin to reach the affected areas and stops the fungi from reproducing by damaging their protective cell membranes. The lotion formulation allows the medication to spread easily across the affected skin surface for better coverage and faster relief. Regular use helps eliminate the infection while reducing itching, flaking, and discomfort associated with fungal skin problems.
Apply a thin layer of lotion to the affected area 1-2 times daily (morning and evening or as directed). Continue for at least 2-4 weeks depending on the condition.
